Welcome! Zakład Doskonalenia Zawodowego situated in the beautiful city of Toruń is the largest educational association in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region, established in 1938. Our activities are based on three areas: courses and training, school education and production activities. Despite the different specifics of each of these areas, they are united by a complete focus on customers' needs and providing them with services of the highest quality. From 2023 we also organise internships for international students under the Erasmus+ programme.

What we do

Courses and training

ZDZ offers a wide range of courses. Whether you are a beginner or looking to enhance your skills, courses at our institution will equip you with the knowledge and hands-on experience. Here are some of the courses available at our centre: welding, CNC machine tool operator, IT technology, construction, electrical course and more.

Production

FAPO Company - Pumps and Dosing Systems has been producing dosing pumps and related equipment since 1973. The quality of our products has always been a priority, which is why we obtained the ISO Certificate in 2001.

School education

We run a vocational school and two technical schools. Education in our schools aims to provide professional education and skills development. We offer a wide range of vocational courses for students. In addition, technical schools offer specialized education in logistics, mechanics, economics or computer science.

Carpentry

We create furniture with passion and precision. Our team consists of qualified carpenters with years of experience. Carpenters combine traditional woodworking methods with modern tools and technology to achieve the best results. We specialize in the production of customized furniture and office furniture.

About Toruń

Toruń

Toruń is located on the Vistula River in the northern part of Poland. Toruń is one of the oldest and biggest cities in Poland. What is more, Toruń is the most Gothic urban complex in Poland, the medieval part of the city is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is considered one of the Seven Wonders of Poland. The city is the birthplace of renowned astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus. Besides being a tourist destination, Toruń has a vibrant cultural and artistic life.

Planetarium in Toruń is the best and most popular one in Poland. Inside, you can enjoy incredible shows with modern effects. During the day, you can experience a starry night, travel to distant planets, fly through Saturn's rings, or see the universe from the perspective of other planets.

Town hall

The Gothic Town Hall in Toruń is one of the most impressive buildings in Poland. It was a symbol of Toruń's economic power and served as a venue for important events and ceremonies. Today, the building houses the District Museum. From the top of 40 meter high tower one can admire the entire old town complex of buildings.

Ciechocinek

Ciechocinek is a famous health resort in Poland. It is known for its 19th-century saline graduation towers, which emit atomized iodine-content brine into the air. This creates a specific medical environment. The town is adorned with beautiful parks, flowerbeds, fountains, and pump wells.

Golub-Dobrzyń

Golub-Dobrzyń is a town situated on the Drwęca River. It is well-known for its famous Anna Vasa castle and old town. Golub is also famous for hosting The Great International Knights' Tournaments in July. Nearby, in Szafarnia, you can visit the Frederic Chopin Museum, which is the second, largest Chopin centre in Poland.

Bydgoszcz

One of the must-visit sites in Bydgoszcz is the Old Town and picturesque Market Square. Bydgoszcz offers also the scenic Mill Island, Myślęcinek Park for nature lovers and the renowned Pomeranian Philharmonic for music enthusiasts. Malbork

Malbork is famous for its magnificent gothic castle which is the biggest brick castle in the world and has a special place on the UNESCO World Heritage Site list. Aside from the castle, Malbork offers the charming Old Town, nature lovers can enjoy walks along the Nogat River. Malbork also has a vibrant cultural scene, with events and exhibitions at the Malbork Cultural Center.
